幼稚園生活最後の３月。残り少ない日々の中で「みんなで何か楽しいことをしようよ！」と考えを出し合ったところ、
リレー、なわとび、ドッヂボールなど身体を動かす遊びがたくさんあがりました。
そこで、最後に大きなことにチャレンジしてみよう！と長距離の鴨川ウォーキングを計画しました。
昨年は北山大橋から出町柳橋まで歩き、今回はさらにその先の賀茂大橋から七条大橋まで１１の橋をくぐってそこからまた街中を幼稚園まで歩くという約７㎞の長距離ウォーキングにチャレンジしました。
昨年の経験があることから、一つひとつ橋をくぐり抜けていくことで、目的地に近づいていくワクワク感や見通しを持って取り組むことができ、楽しさが膨らんでいきました。
橋をくぐる時に橋の大きさが違うことや、川幅や川の深さが場所によって違うことに気づき、いろんな発見をしていました。
また、ボケの花や桜のつぼみも膨らんでいて「あったんぽぽ咲いてる！」と春を感じ、さぎやとんび、かもなどたくさんの鳥達にも出会い、友達や先生とおしゃべりしながら歩くうちに、あっという間に七条大橋までたどり着きました。
町のなかでは、「もう足が～！」「もう幼稚園帰ったら何にもしーひん」「パワーあと５％～」とヘトヘトでしたが、「ぼくは一回も座ってないで！」とがんばりを見せる友達もいて、なんだかんだ言いながらも誰一人「おんぶ～」なんて言い出さず、最後まで自分の脚で歩き切りました。
疲れたけれど、「あ～楽しかった！」「行ってよかったわー！」と大きなチャレンジをして達成感でいっぱいの子どもたちの笑顔が輝いていました。
